Webhosting

Hosting a website basically means giving your website a place to live so people can visit it. When taking on your website project, I’ll ask you a few questions to determine your storage and traffic requirements – and then I’ll recommend a hosting solution that suits your situation.

Hosting options

You basically have two options: shared hosting and dedicated hosting. Shared hosting means your website will be hosted on a server or VPS that hosts other websites along with yours. Dedicated hosting means you have a server or VPS all to yourself. Both options have pros and cons which I will explain to you if and when we get to that bridge.

Third party hosting

Can you use a third party service for hosting, or possibly host your website yourself? Technically, yes. This will have some practical ramifications though, so we’ll need to discuss this thoroughly before making a decision.
